I’On Club is home to three saline swimming pools. The Baby Pool is shaded and perfect for young children. The Lounge Pool is for adults 18 years and older looking for a quieter, serene atmosphere. The Baby Pool and Lounge Pool are both seasonal (the water temperature depends on the weather), but our Junior Olympic Pool is temperature controlled and open year round. This eight-lane, 25-yard pool utilizes heaters in the colder months and chillers in the warmer months to keep the water temperature at an enjoyable 82° throughout the year.
I’On Club also offers a variety of aquatics programs for all ages. Adult programs include our Water Fitness class and Lunchtime Laps, both perfect for all levels of ability and intensity. For children, we offer private, semi-private, and group swim lessons, a Summer Swim Team Prep program, and summer swim team: the I’On Summer Storms. Private lessons are also available for adults and can be tailored to the individual’s specific needs and goals.
Children must be at least 14 years old to use to the pool unaccompanied by an adult. Children 10-13 years old must have parental consent AND pass a swim test provided by the I’On Club to swim unaccompanied by an adult during Lifeguarded hours. Children 10-13 years old must be accompanied by an adult when lifeguards are not on duty. Children 9 years old and younger must always be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older.
During the colder months, the Junior Olympic Pool is covered nightly with a “pool blanket” to prevent heat loss. The pool is covered at 7:00pm Monday through Friday, and 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The pool is uncovered at 6:30am each morning. For the safety of our members, swimming is prohibited when the pool is covered.
During inclement weather, all pools must be cleared after the first sound of thunder or sight of lightning and remain closed for 30 minutes from the last sound of thunder or sight of lightning. All pools will also close if it’s raining hard enough that the main drains at the bottom of the pool are no longer visible.
