A sweat and water enthusiast, Maggie loves combining her two greatest passions as Assistant Director of Wellness and Aquatics. As an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, Maggie guides her clients in building strength, developing endurance, and discovering their inner champion. She prides herself on her ability to work with any client, regardless of age or ability level, and to help each one safely achieve their goals. As an ACE-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Maggie has logged thousands of hours teaching a variety of group fitness classes. She has taught everything from Pilates to Boot Camp to Aqua Aerobics, and strives to create a challenging yet approachable workout for every student in her classes. Here at the I’On Club, Maggie teaches Aqua Aerobics, Cardio Abs, Power Up/Power Down, Boot Camp, INSANITY, Spin, and Spin-Sanity. At the pool, Maggie is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, Certified Pool Operator, and a Swim Lessons University Certified Swim Instructor. She pioneered our I’On Club Swim School, and enjoys teaching children of all ages to safely enjoy the water. She has taught countless private swim lessons, ranging from fearful adults and children all the way up to triathletes and long distance swimmers.
Christina (Chris) Roberts grew up swimming competitively at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club (now Swim MAC), a USA Swimming Club in North Carolina. She graduated from Presbyterian College in 2007 where she ran cross country and received her B.A. in studio arts. She has coached various swim teams for over 17 years, including novice groups, summer swim leagues, varsity high school swimming, and USA Swimming Clubs. She is high-energy and motivates with encouragement and enthusiasm. She also concentrates on technique and believes that kids develop personal growth and learn important values with the sport of swimming.
