If you’re a tennis fanatic, I’On Club is the perfect club to keep you active on the court. With a variety of year-round tennis programming and offerings perfect for all ages and skill levels, I’On Club has something for you!
For our more competitive members, I’On Club’s active USTA as well as friendly leagues creates fun learning and tournament experiences throughout the year. Not quite ready to hit the big leagues? Offering a variety of themed tennis mixers, tennis clinics grouped by skill level, and round robin socials, we have something for everyone!
League Team Clinics
These clinics are organized specifically with your team captain to include work on stroke production, point play strategy, and line up formation to maximize your team’s abilities.
League Team Clinics are scheduled each season by the team captain.
The I’On Club is home to numerous USTA league teams covering all ranges of players and includes singles and doubles team play in the fall and spring with combo and mixed doubles leagues playing in the summer.
Here is a tentative schedule of play for winter/spring 2018 (teams must be formed by January 5):

• Men 3.5 40+ – 7:30 p.m. Wed.
• Men 3.5 55+ – TBD

I’On is also home to several Lowcountry Tennis Association teams. These leagues play on the same schedule as USTA leagues but are for local play only.
Cardio Tennis Workout
A strong tennis game is not required to get the best workout of your life! Cardio Tennis Workouts provide participants with a heart-thumping on-court workout to music. Participants learn the importance of heart rate monitoring to ensure the best results from this 90-minute cardio workout. Registration is required by 5 p.m. the day before each workout.
Why should you try Cardio Tennis?
• Participants are able to achieve their effective heart rate zones with ease because of the fun factor.
• You can burn more calories than singles or doubles and many other fitness options.
• Provides interval training scenario which is effective way to achieve heart health and fitness.
• It is a fun group activity where players of all ability levels enjoy tennis together.
• While you are “playing” tennis the primary focus is on getting a great workout.
• Fights the obesity crisis and offers a better fitness option for those who do not like to go to the gym.

Member Mixers & Round Robin Social
These events are a great way for members to get out and socialize with each other at the club. These events are themed with plenty of food, drinks, and fun for all.
With a growing population of 3.0 and 3.5 men at the I’On Club, we would like to remind you that we schedule weekly reoccurring courts. Here is the current schedule of available courts for 3.0 and 3.5 men’s play:
9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Tuesdays
9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Thursdays
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturdays (advance online sign up required)
Tennis Club Championships
Our annual club championship is a singles, doubles, and mixed doubles tournament played based on NTRP ratings. The championships are scheduled in the fall, check with the front desk or on the website for details and entry information.
