I’On Club offers swim teams for all ages and skill levels. Joining a swim team allows your kids to stay active, achieve personal growth through self-improvement, interact with their peers, and learn valuable lessons through a team sport. Our knowledgeable and experienced coaches and volunteers regularly provide positive reinforcement, and are supportive role models for swimmers to relate to and emulate.
I’On’s coaches are devoted to developing swimmers over the long-term, and the first commitment is to the needs of the swimmers. Groups are kept at a low swimmer to coach ratio to ensure personal attention and quality instruction. Your child is not just a number in the crowd with the I’On. We provide an environment for kids to develop personal growth and learn important values such as passion, pride and perseverance in the sport of swimming and in life.

An in-water evaluation is required for each swimmer. Practices are held Monday-Saturday. Times vary per age group. Registration forms are available in the Clubhouse.
All swimmers must:
• Have the endurance to participate for the duration of each practice.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

• Commitment to the sport of swimming and the training schedule.
Category 1 (Novice, ages 7-10) Swimmers in Category 1 are introduced to the basic mechanics and fundamental technique of all four competitive strokes. Coaches are enthusiastic and encouraging in this low intensity group, and swimmers also develop a team spirit and love of swimming.
Category 2 (Developmental, ages 8-12) Category 2 emphasizes proper stroke technique, helping swimmers improve their skills and abilities. Interval and endurance training is introduced and swimmers begin to develop a strong work ethic.
Category 3 (Intermediate, ages 11-17) Category 3 further develops the swimmer’s potential. Swimmers learn advanced techniques. Practices also include increasing interval, endurance, and heart rate training for improved performance and efficiency in the water.
Category 4 (Advanced, ages 13-18) Swimmers in Category 4 are knowledgeable and show skillful aquatic ability. Goal driven and technique oriented, swimmers are committed to competitive swimming and motivated to maximize their achievements in the sport.
Category 5 (Elite, ages 15-21) Category 5 is reserved for national level swimmers. Practices feature extremely rigorous training and swimmers maximize their learning experience.
